   It’s true that I love frogs and do have an 18-year-old pet water frog, but this column isn’t about him.  My friend Sara and I have been talking about Turks & Frogs since we first read about it last fall.  But, between our busy schedules, it took us months to finally plan a date.  Last month, I mentioned that I was off to try The Little Owl.  Upon arriving, I understood why it is one of those "call exactly one month ahead of your desired reservation day" kind of places.  It's not that the restaurant is so exclusive, but since there are only nine tables, the capacity is limited. So what’s this blogging thing all about?

While I love teaching, I do miss the days of being able to visit top restaurants, eat for free, and report on them.  Well, just because I am no longer a food critic doesn't mean I can't write about dining out in the city.  As you may know, I follow several restaurant columns and keep up with blogs and posting boards about NYC restaurants.  Though I don't have the time nor energy to write my own
